Tear Bear Owl School Scrapbook Layout

Hi, Everyone!

Today, I'm sharing this Tear Bear Owl,

Back to School, 2 page 12 x 12 Scrapbook Layout.

These owls were created using the Smarty Pants Owl svg file found here http://www.littlescrapsofheavendesigns.com/item_713/Smarty-Pants-Owls.htm.

I made these tear bear owls using thick handcrafted mulberry paper. Their eyes and school embellishments are made from cardstock. Everything has been chalked up good.

The blue strips are glitter, everything else is cut from cardstock. The banner title was colored in with a gel pen and then inked.

The whole layout was designed in Design Space and cut with my Cricut Explore. Here is a screenshot from Design Space that shows its rough draft design.

The owls were uploaded into Design Space using the png that comes with the LSHD file when you buy it.

The owl patterns were cut with my Cricut Explore. However, I didn't cut the mulberry paper with it. They were hand torn.

  6. Hiedi: For tear animals, advice... Just keep doing it. The more you do the better and the faster. I have created over 1000 now and been at them for almost 2 years. As for designing a layout in Design Space, the most helpful tip is using your zoom out and zoom in. Thank you for your sweet comment.

Little Scraps of Heaven Designs DT Reveal

First off, Tricia, Leann, and I (Kristy) would like everyone to know that we were amazed at all the entries for the DT call. It was so very hard to choose only 4 applicants to be a part of the design team. There were so many talented women that applied, which made it terribly difficult to choose. We went back and forth for days trying to make a decision. So, with that said we would now like to proudly introduce to you the new Little Scraps of Heaven Designs design team. Tricia Owner & Designer Hi my name is Tricia and I am the owner of Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  I have been scrapbooking several years now and love creating works of art to preserve my precious memories.  I started my scrapbook career selling my paper piecings and layouts on ebay.  I then started selling patterns of my paper piecings on etsy.  Soon after my little business started to grow and I created my website, Little Scraps of Heaven Designs I love creating new patterns and thank God everyday for bless
