Design Team Blog July 29th - August 4th

      Welcome to this week's Design Team blog !! July has just slipped away form us.  Hope you are all making the best your summer!! The design team and I would like to say how much we have appreciated everyone who has joined us in our challenges.  We have decided to take a break from our challenges for the summer months and will start back up in September. Build a Christmas Card Week ~ Saturday

    Welcome to our final day of Build a Christmas Card Week!   Today's cards were created by Deb and Stephanie     Deb's Card    To create Deb's Card...   File Used: Candy Cane Penguin File  Cut Bazzill white cardstock 11.0" x 5.0". Score at 2.5” and 8.0” Fold card on score lines. This creates the gate fold card. The layered paper on the card is from Echo Park…This & That Collection. I cut 2 pieces 5.25” x 2.5” and added them to each side of the card. I used Bazzill Bling Regal for the strip in the center on each side and Bazzill Bling Bank Roll for the holly border…The border was created using a Martha Stewart punch. I added a piece of white seam binding around the card and tied a bow. The sentiment was created using Bazzill Bling Regal and Bank Roll card stock. The font is called Calligraphy.       Hip Hop Hooray, it's Friday!!!   Today's awesome Christmas cards were created by Trisha and Dana.     Trisha's Card   To make Trisha's card... AC Cardstock – white, moss, crimson, caramel, chocolate, dandelion, bubblegum Colormates – light desert dune, black Paper Studio – Elf P aper & Ribbon Green Jewels & Close to My Heart - Share the Magic Stamp Cover of Card • Cut out and assemble the Elf on a Shelf paper piece • Take white cardstock – cut 6” x 12” and fold in half to create a 6”x6” card • Cut a 5 ½” x 5 ½” piece of moss cardstock (wait to secure to white cardstock) • Cut 5” x 5” piece of elf paper and secure to moss cardstock • Cut 3 – 4 ½” x 1 ½” strips of crimson cardstock. Space evenly and secure to elf paper • Cut a 6” piece of elf ribbon and secure to the middle of the current layers on the card • Secure your multiple layers of moss, elf, crimson cardstock to the white cardstock • Place the Elf on...

Build a Christmas Card Week~Thursday

Today's cards were created by Shelly and Tricia Shelly's Card Christmas Bears pattern set from LSHD. Martha Stweart Punch Around the Page in Vintage Doily (for inside). Printed Cardstock…K & Company Elizabeth Brownd “Visions of Christmas” Glitter Cardstock…Core’dinations “White Gloves” Solid Color Cardstock…all Core’dinations from JoAnn’s…I used red, green, black, white, tan and light tan shades. Powder chalk for cheeks. Color Box Chalks for edging the papers. White gel pen for eyes and cheek dots. I resized the pattern to 125% in SCAL. I made a second bottom present piece and welded it end to end with the original piece. This piece was scored in the middle to make the fold in the “card.” The “present” pieces, top and bottom, were cut from red cardstock and then layered with the printed cardstock. Build A Christmas Card Week~Wednesday

Today we would like to feature Abigail's cand and Michelle's Card Abigail's Card Here is my card: File used: Twas the Night Before Christmas Paper: The Paper Studio - Old World Christmas Recollections cardstock Instructions: Cut one piece of craft cardstock at 5.5"x8.5". Using an craft knife or paper trimmer, cut your cardstock at 2" in from top to bottom and 2" in from the left side. Score the left side of the cardstock at 4.25" from the left side to the middle cut. Score the right side of the card at 1", 3.25", 4.75", and 7" from the right side of the card to the middle cut. Score all of the folds and ink the entire card with dark brown ink. Cut one piece of patterned paper at 4"x5.25" and cut a 3"x3.25" piece out of the corner to create an L-shape. Cut a second piece of patterned paper at 1.25"x3.5" and a third piece at 1.5"x3.5". Today's Christmas cards are brought to you by Carmen and Doris Carmen's Card Good morning! Sharing my Christmas in July card with you today. Supplies: A Country Christmas Pattern Set (Sleigh) AC Cardstock Kraft Cardstock Various Scraps of Christmas Pattern Paper Various Scraps of Ribbon for Bows Ranger Perfect Pearls Created sleigh shape card in SCAL3 using the Sleigh from A Country Christmas Pattern set. In SCAL3, I assembled the sleigh then added a shadow layer to get the base. Using that shadow layer, I duplicated, then flipped, then welded it to the other one to get the fold. Cut that in Kraft Cardstock to use for the base. Hi, Welcome to our week long Build a Christmas Card. We as a Design team decided to share cards with you all this week to help inspire you to create your own Christmas Cards this year.  Today we would like to share Jeana's Card, Mindy's Card, and Leslie's Card. Jeana's Card Mistletoe Pattern CTMH Holiday Joy Stamp Set October Afternoon Holiday Style-Toyland October Afternoon Holiday Style-Holly Jolly Coredinations Foundations-Holly Leaf Red Vellum Gold Glitter Paper Gold embossing powder Spangle Mix Sequins To make this card I cut the striped OA Toyland Paper to 8 1/2 by 5 1/2, score at 4 1/4. Cut the OA Holly Jolly Red & White paper to 3/4 inch & adhere that to the far right edge of the card. I glued the sequins randomly down the seam of the two OA papers.
