Build a Christmas Card Week~Thursday

Today's cards were created by Shelly and Tricia

Shelly's Card

Christmas Bears pattern set from LSHD.
Martha Stweart Punch Around the Page in Vintage Doily (for inside).
Printed Cardstock…K & Company Elizabeth Brownd “Visions of Christmas”
Glitter Cardstock…Core’dinations “White Gloves”
Solid Color Cardstock…all Core’dinations from JoAnn’s…I used red, green, black, white, tan and light tan shades.
Powder chalk for cheeks.
Color Box Chalks for edging the papers.
White gel pen for eyes and cheek dots.

I resized the pattern to 125% in SCAL. I made a second bottom present piece and welded it end to end with the original piece. This piece was scored in the middle to make the fold in the “card.” The “present” pieces, top and bottom, were cut from red cardstock and then layered with the printed cardstock. I used the stars pictured on the present in the pattern to decorate the ribbon. I used the MS punch to edge around white paper (3.25x5.00) and placed it on the inside of the card for an area to stamp or write the greeting.

Tricia's Card

For my card I used white cardstock as a base.  Cut it to create a 5 X 5 card.
I added pattern paper from Karen Foster's Design Stack Throughout the Year
I cut a 5 X 5 green square as the background.   Then layered some other pattern paper.
I then cut a 3 X 3 scalloped circle and inner circle.  Next I cut the
Snowman Angel Pattern
to create this adorable paper piecing.
I then glued it together and added it to the scalloped circle tag.
Next I added some Prima poinsettia flowers and topped them with a dew drop.
Last I added a clear tag that says Imagine.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Be sure to come back tomorrow to see some new Christmas inspiration.

Little Scraps of Heaven Designs DT Reveal

First off, Tricia, Leann, and I (Kristy) would like everyone to know that we were amazed at all the entries for the DT call. It was so very hard to choose only 4 applicants to be a part of the design team. There were so many talented women that applied, which made it terribly difficult to choose. We went back and forth for days trying to make a decision. So, with that said we would now like to proudly introduce to you the new Little Scraps of Heaven Designs design team. Tricia Owner & Designer Hi my name is Tricia and I am the owner of Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  I have been scrapbooking several years now and love creating works of art to preserve my precious memories.  I started my scrapbook career selling my paper piecings and layouts on ebay.  I then started selling patterns of my paper piecings on etsy.  Soon after my little business started to grow and I created my website, Little Scraps of Heaven Designs I love creating new patterns and thank God everyday for bless
