Good Afternoon Everyone! Today I want to share with you a Fall Turtle Applique Onesie that I made.
I used this week's adorable Freebie pattern Pumpkin Turtle that you can find here: http://www.littlescrapsofheavendesigns.com/category_22/Weekly-Freebie.htm
To make my applique first I cut the pattern out of card stock with my Explore. Next I traced the pattern onto felt. After that I cut out all or the felt pattern pieces and used a waterproof ink to ink all of the edges to create extra dimension. I then used embroidery floss and a blanket stitch to attach each felt piece to the onesie. I started with the back layers first and then worked my way to the very front layer. Next I beaded and sequined the pumpkin leaves, and then sewed on two little bows. To finish I used white fabric paint to add all of the highlights. This was such a fun different project and was another creative way that these amazing files can be used! Thank you so very much for stopping by, and have a wonderful day! (Please remember that if you plan on converting a file to be used in an embroidery machine you must first purchase an embroidery license for each file used from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.)
