Live with Goals

Hello and welcome to our blog! Today, I am sharing this 5x7 card I've created. Many times, I come across a great saying and my creative juices kick in or as I like to call it, "a scrapbook page waiting to happen". Although, for this project, it was a "a card waiting to happen". For this card, I used the soccer boy in the Outdoor Play pattern set. The saying I printed out and trimmed in the shape of  a ribbon strip. For the design of this card, I cut basic shapes and just layered them in an arrangement. Ribbon, brads, and bling were then added for dimension. I love the finished look of this card and it's perfect as a graduation, encouragement, or even a soccer player card. ~ DT Barbara

Inspiration Post: Acetate and Alcohol Inks

Hello again and today I am back with another inspiration post.  I find these the most difficult post of all.  Anyhow I hope you like what I came up with. What you will need Acetate template Cardstock template Acrylic paint and paintbrush Alcohol inks   Blending tool Stamps of your choice For this project I used  Lots of Labels   Apply a few drops of Alcohol inks to the stamp and then blend them together with your blending tool. Now stamp onto the front of your acetate template. Let the ink dry.  (I used an old acetate gift box.  I never throw them away as you never know when you will need it.) For the purpose of this tutorial and photographing I stamped some  ink to get a clearer picture. Once the ink has dried, turn your template over and paint the back with your paint.  You can go lighter or darker, it is really up to you. While the paint is still wet, turn your template back to front side up and stick down onto your card stock.  The wet pa

So many great pattern sets to choose from at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs , both old and new. It's hard for me to choose which file to use, because I want to create with all of them. For this project, I chose an older file,  Strawberry Picking. With all of the great elements included in this pattern set, it's perfect for a card or layout. I went with a layout:    Thank you for stopping by our blog. ~ DT Barbara

Karate Girl

Good Morning!  This week I did a layout with the Karate Girl which you can find here: http://www.littlescrapsofheavendesigns.com/catalog.htm I used this adorable little  girl to show you don't have to add a lot of piecings to have an outstanding layout. My daughter Larrisa was in Taekwondo in 2002 when she was 7 years old and went all the way to state.  She received a 2nd place.     I was sooo very proud!  This is my layout showing this. As you notice the yellow represents the yellow belt she received that day  Here is a picture of the piecing up close.. I hope you enjoyed the layout and as always thank you for your support to the LSHD Blog! Christi LSHD DT
