Playtime

Good morning and a very happy Monday.  I am sharing my blog project with you this morning.  A double page layout of my little nephew.  I don't get to see him that much as he lives in Australia. That is one good thing about modern technology.  It allows me to see him growing and stay in contact with him even though we are miles apart.  It is lovely to scrap these "Kiddie" pages all over again.  My boys have grown up way too fast. :)  Files used   Wave and Scalloped Border and  In my community playground Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome rest of the week. ~ Michelle~ FACEBOOK

T-Ball Time!

Scrappy Thursday!! Today I have a few more LO's for you using the "Little League" file.  This time, I used the girl from the set. I LOVE how these turned out, with all the pink! The parents, and kids, really loved them!   This file is so easy to work with, that I managed to make 10 LO'd like this in less than 24 hours! For the titles, I just made them in MTC. ~Colleen LSHD DT

4th of July

I am on a card kick lately! I love these types of projects. It gives me a chance to work on a smaller project and focus on embellishments. If you love to scrap as much as I do, I'm sure you have LOTS of embellishments that you have bought and never make it a point to use them. That's where card making comes in. Great projects to use a paper piecing pattern and then dress them up with something out of your scrapbooking stash! I've created this 4th of July card using the Firecracker pattern and I've enlarged a star from Ssss-elebrate. Since the background is a white tone, I've embossed the large white star to make it stand out. Finally, I've used some sparkley stars from my embellishment stash, along with some blue and white twine. ~ DT Barbara
I wanted to share my space layout with you.  I used To The Moon and Reach For The Stars files to make it.  I love both files.  They are so fun to work with. I have more pictures on my blog. http://meagansscraps.blogspot.com/  Thank you so much for looking.  ~LSHD DT

Needing Some Caffeine?

Who doesn't love their morning coffee???? Here's a fun anytime card for someone. I've used the Donut Forget pattern for this one. Many times I stumble upon some fun fun paper, that I know at some point I'm going to make a project with. I had found some coffee/cocoa printed paper at Joann's the other week. It went perfectly with the bear pattern and saying. A fun quick project and a one of a kind card for someone. Thank you for stopping by our blog and have a wonderful day! ~ DT Barbara

Teacher Gifts

"Orange You Glad It's Summer?" Hey all!!   So, I saw this idea on Pinterest for making gift bags using the catch phrase "ORANGE you glad it's Summer?" and they put all different orange items in the bag. How perfect is that for teacher gifts?? (And bus drivers, monitors, teacher aides and therapists!) Well, I knew the new " Got Juice Mice "  file was perfect!! I filled the bags with fun things like orange bubbles, frisbees, water balloons, candy, Gatorade, soda, water, real oranges, cups, shot glasses.... anything ORANGE that said fun in the sun to me!! I also used the scalloped circle from " Lots of Labels " to make the tags :) I made a total of 22 of these gifts bags, and in about 24 hours too!  That's how easy LSHD's files go together!!!   I used a free font I had in MTC to make the phrase. Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to come back every day for new ideas!! ~Colleen LSHD DT~

Happy 4th

Coach's Gifts

Coach's Gift The regular season for our Little League divisions is coming to an end soon, and I always like to give the coach's a little something to say Thank you!! Our coach's are all volunteers and spend a lot of time working with our kids, so although it's not much, it's a little something to let them all know they are appreciated! I have used " Little League " to decorate these popcorn style boxes I made.  They are orange because that is the color of the team, Miami Marlins. I made the "Thank You" in MTC and attached it to a large baseball. Inside I put sunflower seeds, peanuts, a baseball bat pen, baseball chocolates and baseball gumballs. On the 4th side, I also wrote the to/from. I tried to keep them simple, as I have 12 to make. Thanks for coming by today, and be sure to come back tomorrow for more inspiring ideas! ~Colleen LSHD DT~

Play Ball!

Play Ball! Scrappy Thursday! So, this year I have 3 kids playing baseball and am constantly taking pics at all their games. In fact, I have become the unofficial team photographer! lol Back when my oldest first starting playing, I have been making a scrapbook page for all the players on his team. As my other 2 started playing, I ave been doing that with their teams as well. It's a lot of baseball LO's! :) So, I will be sharing quite a few with you over the next few weeks! Here is one for my oldest's team...... the Miami Marlins. Again, I have used the " Little League " file, with slight modifications to the the hat, which entailed blacking out and welding pieces from the original hat.  (Using MTC) Thanks for coming by and be sure to come tomorrow for Viernes en Espanol! ~Colleen LSHD DT~

School Pictures

I have finally began scrapping my kids school photos. I am years and years behind in scrapping my personal albums. I have to admit, when it comes to my own pages, it takes me forever to complete a page. The fact that my photos are 8x10, made it more of a challenge for me because there was limited space to work with. For this 12x12 page, I used a few files, including Notebook Paper, Color my World, Flash Card A, and This Way and That. I wanted the page to have more of a collage look, rather than everything being spread out and uniform. I love how it turned out. ~ DT Barbara
