First Christmas

Hello, today I am sharing a page I made using our current sketch as my inspiration. For this page I used the  Santa and Reindeer  pattern. These pictures are all of my grandaughter's first Christmas.  She was just the right age to really enjoy it.  She wasn't too sure about unwrapping gifts but once she got the hang of it, she really had fun. Thanks for stopping by our blog today.  There is still a couple of days to join our sketch challenge.  The challenge ends on September 30th.  We would love to have you join :) ~Jeana~

Sketch Challenge!!!!!

Sketch Challenge Sept 14 - 30 Hey all!!   You all know about the sketch challenges over on the  Little Scraps of Heaven Designs fan page , right??!! Tricia gives us a sketch to follow,  Then you just create a page following this sketch. You can use any or all elements from it, it's YOUR take on the sketch! Just be sure you use a  Little Scraps of Heaven Designs  paper piecing on it!! So, here is MY take on the sketch..... First, let me start by saying that my daughter did not plan to look like a zebra on her way to school! lol  She had on the pants with a black tee, and on her way out the door, decided she needed a sweatshirt, so she went and grabbed her favorite one.  I didn't even realize she was in head-to-toe zebra until she was out the door! lol  We were all laughing out loud at this, but it didn't stop her from wearing it!  She totally rocked it! I used 5 different files on this one pager.   Zebra: " Zoo Critters, Vol 2 " Scallop

School Placemat

School Placemat Hey all!! Today I have a special little project to share with you, a placemat for my little guy for school!  The teachers ask that all the parents decorate a piece of construction paper with pictures and with things that your child likes, then they will laminate them and the children will use them at lunch time and be able to share stories and whatnot over lunch. Fun! So, for Joey's, I used " In My Community - Fireman " for the firetruck, which I added a little Autism Awareness Logo to, " Dino-Land " for the T-Rex, and " J Bear " to start his name. I think he is going to LOVE eating lunch o this everyday! :) Now, be sure to stop back tomorrow to see more great ideas! ~Colleen LSHD DT~

Moments in Time

Today I am sharing a little inspiration post.  How to make grunge flowers. You don't need much to create the flowers but if you wanted to go the extra mile you can add all sorts of goodies to decorate the flowers further. (Brads, rhinestones, stickles, dimensional glue or even paint or ink your flowers.) How to???? First you will need some flower die cuts.  Any size or shape.  For this page I used two different flows from My paper Garden.  Brads Water in a small spray bottle Anything you like to decorate the flower. Stack your die cuts and fasten in the centre with a brad.  Spritz some water on the card stock and scrunch up the flower to your desired shape and size. Let the cardstock dry.  Decorate as desired. Files I used My paper garden Vol 2  Flower 1 and 4 Elements Banners collection 3D Butterly Christmas 3D Accents

Here we go...Monday Again!

Hi there, can't believe it's Monday again.  Where does the weekend go? Today I'm sharing a very simple & clean layout.  This is my grandparents home, the picture was probably taken in the late 50's.  This was one of my favorite places to be, the other was my other grandparents home.  My grandparents owned a grocery store & their home was attached to the back of the store.  This view is looking from the back yard at the back of their store & their home is to the left.  My Grandma was quite a homemaker.  I always thought her home looked like it should be in a magazine.  She had very classy taste & decorated her home so lovely.  I wish I had more pictures & pictures of the inside of her home. For this page I used the  doily  pattern, the  3D bow  pattern & the  Small Scalloped Border  pattern. All of my papers are from Crate Paper. Thanks for stopping by our blog today. ~Jeana~
