Build A Christmas Card Week~Wednesday







Today we would like to feature Abigail's cand and Michelle's Card



Abigail's Card
Here is my card:

File used: Twas the Night Before Christmas
Paper: The Paper Studio - Old World Christmas
Recollections cardstock

Instructions:
Cut one piece of craft cardstock at 5.5"x8.5". Using an craft knife or paper trimmer, cut your cardstock at 2" in from top to bottom and 2" in from the left side. Score the left side of the cardstock at 4.25" from the left side to the middle cut. Score the right side of the card at 1", 3.25", 4.75", and 7" from the right side of the card to the middle cut. Score all of the folds and ink the entire card with dark brown ink.

Cut one piece of patterned paper at 4"x5.25" and cut a 3"x3.25" piece out of the corner to create an L-shape. Cut a second piece of patterned paper at 1.25"x3.5" and a third piece at 1.5"x3.5". Ink each piece of patterned paper with dark brown ink and adhere to card base.

Cut Santa's silhouette and the moon at 3.5" in length, adhere Santa's silhouette to the moon, adhere the moon to the last section of the card base with one layer of foam.

Cut the window, window ledge and curtains at 3.5" in length, adhere curtains to window, adhere ledge to window with one piece of foam and adhered window to the middle section of the card base with one layer of foam.

Cut tree and tree skirt at size, adhere tree skirt directly to the front of the card base and adhere the tree to the front of the card with one layer of foam. Embellish tree with gemstones.
 
 
Michelle's Card
 
This card is called a "Z" Tri fold card.

Requirements for the card
Scissors or a personal cutter with software for SVG
Ribbon of your choice
Paper Piecings of your choice
Chalk
Plain cardstock 6 x 12 inches
Patterned cardstock
Glue

For this card the files I used are from LSHD
Merry Christmoose Title
Candy from Candy Cane Penguin
Peeking Reindeer (a past freebie)
All these files are available for personal cutters and a PDF file to hand cut the paper piecing.

Once the card has been scored and pattered paper glued on,
fold in valley and mountain folds to form the Z Shape.
Now go ahead and decorate with ribbon, and the paper piecings. You can also add a Christmas verse to one of the inside panels, stickles brads, perfect pearls and any other embellishment you choose.
